Meet The Team

Coming from a family of healthcare professionals, Dr Arik has always been inspired to provide optimal health care to the community. Having previously worked as a pharmacist manager for a number of years, he gained an affinity to effectively communicate and provide personalised patient care of the highest calibre. Throughout his dental degree, Dr Arik has had the opportunity to attend a volunteering program providing dental treatments to underprivileged communities in Cambodia. He has also gained experience working in the public sector completing a summer elective program in Monash Health Dental Services where he was providing treatments for emergency patients. Dr Arik always puts patients as a number one priority and is committed to providing personalised and painless dental experience to his patients. Outside of dentistry, Dr Arik enjoys playing soccer, drumming and photography.

JY graduated with a Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Melbourne and had worked in private practice in Ballarat for a number of years. It was there where he was lucky to be mentored by good people who imparted excellent dentistry skills and more importantly, the ethics of a kind dentist. He is passionate in delivering the highest level of patient care and changing people’s traditional expectations of a dental visit. JY loves meeting people from all walks of life and listening to their stories. Making things look pretty is also something that JY enjoys very much and he continually extends his knowledge with further courses to provide the most up-to-date treatments for his patients. When JY is not a dentist, you will find him maintaining beautiful water gardens or chilling with his two dogs and wife. 

Dr Sebastian is a dedicated dental professional whose passion for dentistry was inspired by his father, also a dentist. He brings a wealth of knowledge and a genuine desire to make a positive impact on his patients’ lives through exceptional dental care. His commitment to the field is evident in his continuous pursuit of excellence and his holistic approach to oral health.

Dr Roman Pinkus feels he’s chosen the perfect profession. Inspired to pursue a career in dentistry by his family from a very young age, Roman enjoys bringing his enthusiasm for helping people to his work. Dr Roman is a member of the Australian Dental Association. He received his dental degree from La Trobe University Victoria and since graduation has completed numerous post-graduate courses on all aspects of dentistry. In addition to his general dentistry background, his particular special interests are in dental implants and teeth straightening.

Sharon Pinhasov, oral health therapist at Dickson Street Dental, is deeply committed to helping patients through prevention and education. Gum disease, dental decay and other complications are preventable through home maintenance like good brushing and flossing habits, and regular preventative care appointments. Sharon helps guide patients through their prevention of oral diseases and also in general health, as we know now that poor oral health can affect a patient’s general health as well.

As a dental nurse at Dickson Street Dental, Elena is passionate about helping people achieve and maintain optimal oral health. Originally serving as a nurse, she’s always worked in the healthcare field and spent many years working in cardiology.

Krishna is a passionate dental professional who brings a unique blend of international experience and a warm demeanour to her role as a Dental Assistant at Dickson Street Dental. With a background as an overseas dentist, she has a deep understanding of oral health and its impact on daily life.

Sarah is a passionate dental professional who brings a unique experience and a warm demeanour to her role as a Dental Assistant at Dickson Street Dental. Sarah has a deep understanding of oral health and its impact on daily life.

Michaela has always loved both dentistry and working with people. Combining these passions, she found her perfect role as a Front Office Coordinator at Dickson Street Dental, and we’re thrilled that she’s a part of our team.
